TECH π» 2021-2025 · Activision Blizzard King & Dynatrace πͺπΈ · Senior Data Scientist & Lead Data Scientist
Worked across large-scale tech products where data science directly shaped business decisions. At King, I designed rigorous A/B evaluations, payer segmentation, and a production revenue forecasting engine used by finance and leadership. I translated ambiguous product questions into interpretable models, packaged analytical logic into reusable R/Python libraries, and partnered closely with product, business and engineers. At Dynatrace, I led an exec-commissioned churn-prediction initiative, consolidating fragmented data sources and supervising data scientists.
FINANCE π° 2019-2020 · Nasdaq πΈπͺ & UBS π¨π · Quantitative Risk Analyst & Associate Director Data Science
Worked on high-stakes quantitative models in regulated financial environments. At Nasdaq, I developed derivatives pricing, risk sensitivities, stress testing, and factor-based models, often reverse-engineering legacy systems with limited documentation. At UBS, I led validation work for transaction-monitoring and anomaly-detection models under strict regulatory timelines. These roles required deep statistical judgment and the ability to defend modeling choices clearly to senior and regulatory stakeholders, making end-to-end models and full product auditables.
RESEARCH π¬ 2009-2018 · CREATES π©π° UdelaR & UM πΊπΎ · University Researcher & Teacher
At CREATES, I conducted research in financial econometrics, developing parametric and non-parametric estimators for high-frequency data, studying dependence structures, volatility dynamics, and market microstructure using NYSE TAQ data and large-scale simulations. Earlier, at UdelaR & UM, I worked on causal inference and panel data for policy evaluation, including difference-in-differences, quantile regressions and fixed-effects models. I taught microeconomics, econometrics, and time-series with a strong emphasis on identification, assumptions, and interpretation.
CONSULTANCY π§ 2007-2008 · Deloitte & CINVE πΊπΎ · Consultant & Analyst
Early-career roles focused on applied economic analysis and data-driven insights. Worked with large macroeconomic datasets, supporting international finance analyses through data preparation, validation, diagnostics, and reporting for econometric model workflows at Deloitte. At Cinve I contributed to healthcare analytics by assembling and analysing national survey data to assess directors in the context of a national reform. Produced analytical reports and translated data findings for senior stakeholders, gaining early experience in analysis and decision-oriented communication.
